Round Silica Sand is the standard infill for artificial turf. Proper infill installation is critical to maintaining your artificial grass system. 1-3 lbs. per sq. ft. Infill helps to protect the synthetic grass from the elements while maintaining the blade structure and level design. Spread infill material evenly utilizing a drop spreader (commonly used to spread grass seed) or a flat.

Artificial Grass Infill Options

Do not attempt to install the infill material while the Artificial Grass or the infill material is wet. Once all sand is spread evenly on top of the turf, it must be broomed into the turf fibers. Use a power broom to brush up turf fibers and let the sand work down in between the turf blades; when the infill process is complete, water the entire area evenly with a hose to settle the material.

Black Diamond

Black Diamond infill is an all-recycled product that does not compact, change the composition, or absorb contaminants. The recycled infill product drains much faster than sand-filled systems.

Green-R Turf uses an all-recycled Black Diamond infill product that does not compact, change composition, or absorb contaminants. The recycled infill product drains much faster than sand-filled systems. The infill will not compact or harden over time because the copper and coal slag product will not absorb moisture or contaminants. The infill surrounds each fiber like natural earth, holds a blade of grass, and provides a non-compactable, resilient, natural surface feel. The combination of the artificial grass fibers and the infill delivers the ultimate lawn surface look and feel.

Round Premium Silica Sand

Round Premium Silica Sand infill is a naturally occurring quartz that can withstand excessive weathering with minimal effect on artificial grass. Due to its exceptionally round granular shape, artificial grass installations last longer and showcase less wear and tear. Silica Sand is double-washed and screened to ensure size uniformity.
